Interuniversity Campus for Advanced Education and Innovative Research
on Food Processing – FOCUSER
(Food Campus Education Research)

The FOCUSER project (FOod CampUS Education Research) aims to develop an internationally recognised interuniversity campus of excellence, designed to build the skills needed for research and innovation in the food processing sector, with a particular focus on countries in the North Africa and Middle East (MENA) region.
This interuniversity partnership, involving five Italian universities, seeks to strengthen and expand advanced education and research activities, while promoting knowledge and innovation transfer between research institutions and industry. Through a lifelong learning programme and high-impact research activities, FOCUSER aims to support the development of the agri-food sector in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern areas as an advanced, knowledge-based system, in line with national strategies for science diplomacy.

A Multi-University Project

Five leading Italian universities are involved in the project, working together to strengthen educational programmes, enhance innovation capacity, and develop new models for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and data.
